When I was a teenager, I earned great grades in school, played an instrument in the school band, and played a sport. I was never afraid to learn new things and was always eager to tackle all of the challenges that came with the learning experience. However, that all changed when I was finally the legal driving age in my state. I was terrified of driving and convinced that I would fail miserably at it! The feeling took me by surprise, but after some soul-searching and supportive advice from family, I finally got up the nerve to get behind the wheel. The "rest is history," as they say, and I soon actually became a great driver. I now have children and always tell them they can learn anything they put their minds too. I decided to start a blog to share my educational tips and help inspire others to learn!

What Will Your Child Learn From Their Preschool Staff?

Preschool is an important learning experience for a child, because this is where kids gets their foundation for life. These young kids are at a stage where they are impressionable, and their young minds have so much to learn. It may be a difficult transition from home to preschool, but children are generally resilient. In fact, it may be harder for you than it is for them. Toddlers need preschool. There is a lot for them to learn, not just from their classmates, but from the staff who supervise their activities.
Language and Writing
Teachers in preschool engage their classes in conversation and encourage children to play with others. They also read aloud for children and point out certain words for them. They learn the alphabet, sounds of letters, and start to learn how to count and read if they are ready. And soon, with guidance, your child will be able to write their name and write a series of letters. At this stage, a teacher may also be able to diagnose learning disorders.
Building and Problem Solving
People often see pre-schoolers playing with blocks, building puzzles, or even attempting to build towers. These activities actually engage their thinking and help them in a small way to learn to look for solutions. They are easily fascinated by little things and can learn their own tricks and skills by observing what the adults around them do. These may be simple activities, but for them, but it is a big step in their learning. There are certain questions the child can ask the teacher, and the teacher may be better at giving a more tactful answer than the parent.
Life
Life is a general term, but a child can learn a lot about the world at large (and the people in it) by interacting with others and learning where they fit. A child learns about equality, sharing, and the differences that people have that make them unique. They learn about how to get along and to be sociable. Through play, they also learn patience, responsibility, and the skills needed to start working in teams. The child will also learn about rules and rewards and punishment. A good teacher will relate all lessons to life and teach each story with a moral so that the child can learn some values.
